Established on July 3, 1920, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) is widely regarded as one of Indonesia’s top universities. Initially known as Technische Hoogeschool te Bandoeng (THS), ITB was the pioneering institute of technology in the Dutch East Indies.
Built upon a strong foundation, ITB has experienced remarkable growth, achieving a significant milestone in 1959 when it was officially recognized as Institut Teknologi Bandung through Government Regulation Number 25. Since then, ITB has further solidified its position as a leading university in the fields of science, technology, and engineering in the region.
